I felt warmly welcomed by Lucy the second I arrived at footprintshouse. She showed me around and there was everything in place that you need for having an amazing time. + They provide a fridge where to put food that can be bought in a close supermarket. + Lilian will cook lovely and fresh things at affordable money. Same counts for breakfast. + Coffee can be ordered any time the day at no costs :) which was a super benefit. +provided laundry service +lovely kept garden, with some sunbeds. I was lucky, but if full house, first come first serve +close and direct entrance to the beach +supermarket, restaurant very close. Otherwise tuk tuks will take you wherever you want to go + for animal lovers like me. They have 3 lovely dogs, who are around and want to get pet as much as possible. The owners, farath and Recha are lovely people too, who you can reach out to, whenever needed. They always let us know about ongoing programs (beach volleyball or other activities) and also took us to a very nice sunset place at Kongo River. I just can highly recommend that place especially for single travelers. I really enjoyed the community and chats with the other guests when coming back of daily programme
The people (and the dogs) are by far the thing that makes Footprints House stand out as an amazing place to stay. Reesha, Fahad and Lucy were so friendly and helpful, give us rides on occasion, let us come play beach volleyball with them, and just made sure we had everything that we could need. The house dogs were the friendliest and sweetest dogs and it was so great to have them around. The housekeeper and cook were also incredibly friendly and personable and it really felt like we became part of the Footprints family. They also set up a massage on location for us which was so good that we had a second one the day before we left. Breakfast is good and quite filling for a reasonable price in Diani. Unless you need air-conditioning, Footprints House offers an amazing vibe in a great location with some of the nicest people you’ll ever meet. I strongly recommend making it your home in Diani.
We were there in the absolute hottest part of the year so without air-conditioning it was quite hot although they did make sure we had extra fans which helped enormously. Guests cannot use the kitchen which I understand because they have a professional cook, but it would be nice to be able to cook meals occasionally. They do, however have a fridge that guest can keep food in.
Loved my stay in Footprints. Accommodation is lovely, very central and within walking distance to shops, retaurants, bars etc. The staff were nice and extremely helpful. The optional breakfast was lovely. But the most impressive thing about the property is that its so close to the beech, just a short walk down a path at the back of the property to the beech. Overall I would highly recommend staying in Footprints and is priced very reasonably.
This is a wonderful place to stay in! You can tell that a lot of love and care went into creating footprints house. Guests can choose from a few different and lovely hang out options on the property, either in the garden, by the pool or under a roofed outdoor area. Everything is clean and nicely decorated. The hosts can recommend restaurants and activities in the area. The location is quite central in Diani, so restaurants and shops can be reached by foot or by a short tuktuk ride.
Footprints and the lovely staff charmed us with wonderful hospitality during a recent five-night stay. We are a family with three teen boys, so we had a private room and a family room. The breakfast each day was excellent and served at whatever time we chose. We had dinner here two nights - curry and prawns - and it was excellent. All the prices were reasonable. The hosts at Footprints told us the best places to visit and to eat and helped us understand how to get tuktuks, what to pay for guides and snorkeling outings, etc. They set up everything and made the stay perfect. The pool is awesome - huge and deep and clean. The walk to the beach is short and the ocean is breathtaking. We loved the dogs and cats, which for us made it feel like home. The other travelers were met were friendly and not imposing. We highly recommend Footprints if you are looking for something more like home and less like a giant resort. We hope to return!
